The Community Room
A private room where VillageCore members carry on the conversation after a programme finishes, asking questions, sharing what they are building, and staying in touch across generations. It is not open to the public.
How membership works
The Community Room exists so that people who have already met through a VillageCore programme have somewhere calm and private to keep talking. Most members join after taking part in InterGen Innovators, our free six-week programme pairing students and older adults to learn technology together.
Accounts are created by the VillageCore team, or by an invitation sent to your email address. There is no open sign-up. Either way you choose your own password and the name other members see; we never set a password for you and never ask for it.
What other members see
Your first and last name, as you enter them. If somebody else already uses the same name, a number is added so nobody is confused about who is speaking. Your email address is never shown to other members.
The room is moderated by the VillageCore team, and messages are kept so that moderators can look into a concern if one is raised.
Joining
If you would like to take part, the way in is a programme: start with InterGen Innovators or register your interest. If you think you should already have access, email info@villagecore.org.
