Ideas, stories, and innovation across generations

The VillageCore blog covers what we are learning: insights, community stories, and new ideas shaping the future of aging, agriculture, technology, and intergenerational collaboration.

What we write about

Articles are grouped into categories including community, innovation, AgTech, healthy aging, programs, member stories, and events. Posts come from the VillageCore team and from people inside our programs.

If you are looking for practical caregiving material rather than commentary, the resources library is the better starting point.

Why we publish

Most writing about aging is either clinical or sentimental. We try for a third thing: what actually happened when a mixed-age team built something together, what an AgeTech founder learned when older adults tested their product, what a caregiver wished someone had told them earlier.

Stories from our programs are published with the participants' knowledge, and articles are attributed to the people who wrote them.

Following along

New articles appear on this page with the newest first, and each one can be filtered by category. There is no paywall and no signup required to read.
